Details
Char Dham, meaning "Four Abodes," consists of four sacred destinations: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. Each site holds profound significance in Hindu mythology and spirituality, drawing millions of pilgrims and seekers from around the globe.
Yamunotri:
We begin our voyage at the source of the safe and venerable Yamuna River, known as Yamunotri. The serene temple site is located in the magnificent mountains, Garhwal Himalayas. A temple devoted to goddess Yamuna is a home to the devotees who come here to pay homage to goddess Yamuna. Yamunotri remains the most arduous journey in terms of trekking and surroundings, contrasted by impeccable charm of snow-clad mountains and pure abundance of nature's blessings.
Gangotri:
After Gangotri the next must-see spiritual destination is Moksha, which is the source of the mighty Ganges river. Being the abode of Gangotri Gangotri temple i.e; an altitude of 3,100 meters, this sacred site is dedicated to the Goddess Ganga. Pilgrims are emersed into a divine aura; they seek all sorts of blessings and even ask for forgiveness while they are also enjoying the same tranquility as the rest of the surroundings.
Kedarnath:
The quest continues to Kedarnath, a small, cozy valley at the foot of imposing Kedarnath Peak. Which is placed at 3,583 meters above sea level, Kedarnath, which is a place of worship, is the home for the ancient Kedarnath temple, the place of worshipping Shiva. This is the spiritual journey to this holy mountain shrine, which is either a long arduous trek or a helicopter, when all devotees are one in each and every prayer and chant.
Badrinath:
The last voyage of Char Dham Yatra is marked by Badrinath, the sacred place dedicated to the Lord Vishnu. Badrinath, a town at an elevation of 3,133 meters with an epic background of the Nar and Narayan range of mountains, is adorned by the peerless structure of the Badrinath temple. Some persons absorb in the sacred atmosphere, gaining it as a chance to get shelter from the divine with consequent prayers and thanksgiving.
